Certificate IV in Disability Support includes seven core and three elective nationally accredited units.

Where the course is not completed, a Statement of Attainment will be issued for any completed units.

Learners will be issued with a statement of attainment for all completed units.

Work placement
To attain this certification, a student needs to fulfil a minimum of 120 hours of practical work experience.

  • For non-trainees, there are no specific entry requirements. You can apply for the course immediately.

Study Requirements:

Students must demonstrate proficiency in:

  • Language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills
  • Communication, documentation, and research skills
  • Physical capability for manual handling (relevant for disability and aged care courses)
  • Access to a laptop or desktop computer, along with basic digital literacy skills.
  • For blended and/or online training, intermediate computer skills are necessary, including internet browsing, email, word processing, and presentation software.

Workstation Setup:

A quiet study space with a stable internet connection is essential. Additionally, you’ll require:

  • Web camera, microphone, and speakers
  • Smartphone
  • Earbuds or headphones
  • Google Classroom software installed

Please note: During video conferencing sessions, you’ll be required to activate your camera and microphone as needed.

Student tuition fees may vary based on individual circumstances upon enrollment. Apart from tuition fees, there could be additional charges like materials or amenities fees.

Modes and Schedule for CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support:

This certificate program offers flexible study options to accommodate diverse schedules:

Virtual Training Room (Day or Night): Engage in real-time online learning with instructor-led sessions via video conferencing. Supplemental guided activities are available through the Learning Management System (eLearning).
Choose from:

  • One day per week: 9:30 am to 4:00 pm
  • One night per week: 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm

Note: All study modes entail additional activities, including research, reflections, and assessments via the Google Classroom.
